Peut-on expliquer ce qu'est le coaching?

 Oui, peut-on expliquer ce qu'est le coaching? Je veux dire par les mots, intellectuellement? C'est une question que je me pose car des personnes de mon entourage me la posent. Mon esthéticienne avec qui je parle de ma double activité me disait cette semaine: "expliquez moi ce que vous faites en tant que coach, cela m'aidera à en parler avec mes clientes." Qu'est-ce que je fais en tant que coach? je pose des questions. Elle est restée perplexe, je lui ai proposé une séance de coaching contre un épilation. Quoi de plus difficile que d'expliquer ce qu'est le coaching lorsque l'on n'a jamais vécu une séance! Même interrogation du côté d'un chef d'entreprise de PME. "je suis sûr que le coaching peut nous aider, en tant que dirigeant. Explique moi ce que c'est et j'en parlerai dans mon réseau professionnel." Comment expliquer? Comment trouver les mots pour le dire? Surtout à un dirigeant pragmatique qui attend du concret, des résultats? Pas d'autre solution que de donner à expérimenter! L'ICF (International Coach Federation) tente de parler du coaching professionnel en quelques mots. "Le coaching professionnel est un processus interactif qui aide l'entreprise ou la personne à améliorer ses performances et à obtenir de meilleurs résultats personnels et professionnels." "Le travail du coach consiste à aider le client à mettre en valeur les compétences, les ressources et la créativité qu'il possède déjà, et à lui permettre de trouver par lui-même ses solutions et stratégies." L'autre écueil lorsque l'on parle du coaching, c'est le retour sur investissement. Qu'est-ce que cela me rapporte? L'ICF apporte des éléments de réponse: - En tant que dirigeant et manager, le coaching permet de clarifier sa mission, ses objectifs professionnels et de conduire avec plaisir une action juste. - Le coaching permet également d'acquérir une plus grande souplesse pour imaginer, concevoir, et mettre en oeuvre des options innovantes et probantes. - Enfin, le coaching permet de renforcer ses capacités stratégiques et managériales pour mobiliser au mieux des collaborateurs motivés et des équipes performantes. La coach que je suis vous invite à expérimenter plutôt qu'à questionner. Oser, Oser le coaching! |
